I don’t know how they did it, but the Waltons actually made living through the Depression look like fun! I’ve watched some of the first and second season on DVD with my kids, and it always makes me wish that families still had relationships like that now. They were always helping each other, standing up for each other, and working together. Of course, I know it was fiction and entertainment, but it seemed like an ideal world. Good-night, John-boy! Gerald McBoing Boing is an animated series based on Dr. Seuss’s book of the same name. Gerald McCloy doesn’t speak like normal children; he only speaks in sound effects. His adventures with his friends Jacob and Janine and his dog, Burp, are hilarious and entertaining. Gerald has been around for a long time, first appearing as a cartoon short in the 1950s. He has since been reincarnated in various ways, most recently with a DVD release.
