It can be hard to find specialty stores near where you live. We actually have a ski shop here by my house, but there is not a surfboarding shop anywhere that I know of. That is why shopping online for things like boardshorts for a surfing trip is important. I cannot imagine how expensive shopping for board shorts would be if I waited until I got to my destination.
