Even just the thought of this T.V. show gets the themesong stuck in my head. The main characters of the series, who appear in almost every episode, are Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. Scrooge McDuck is a very serious businessman, often shown to be a tightwad, who managed to earn a fortune so vast that he became the richest duck in the world. He claims to have succeeded by being “smarter than the smarties, and tougher than the toughies”. Despite his harsh business ethics, Scrooge has shown that he is also a caring man to his family. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are Scrooge’s great-nephews, who are left in his care throughout the series. Although the boys are fairly hyperactive, they have also shown that they can be rather clever and intelligent.

She-ra was an attempt to market to young girls, and it worked. I loved She-ra! She-Ra is the heroic female lead in a series of toys produced by Mattel called She-Ra: Princess of Power. She also appears in the tie-in cartoon of the same name, which was an attempt to make a version of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series that would appeal to young girls in the same way that He-Man appealed to boys. She-Ra is also the sister of He-Man.

Ok so this is a little before my time, but I got to see episodes of it when I was a kid and even a little older. This cartoon is awesome! Hong Kong Phooey, is supposed to be master of kung fu. The stories begin at the police headquarters, where Hong Kong Phooey’s alter ego, Penry, works as a mild-mannered janitor. He works with Sargeant Flint (Sarge) and Rosemary, the telephone operator, who has a major crush on Hong Kong Phooey. After Rosemary gets a call and explains the criminals’ crime (which is one of the only reasons they call), Penry would run into a filing cabinet to transform himself into Hong Kong Phooey.

Unlike Fraggles, Doozers love to work all day long; they hate playing games. Some Doozers are construction workers, while others are architects or miners. With the help of various Doozer machines and vehicles, they build elaborate constructions all over Fraggle Rock, like towers, buildings, roads and bridges.
The Doozers love it when the Fraggles eat their creations, because they think good archetecture should be enjoyed. The Doozer sticks are made from radish powder, which is the Fraggle’s favorite food.

I wanted a popple for my birthday soooo bad one year, and I remember my mom got it for me! I was so happy. Do you remember the Popples? If not then here is something to jog your memory:
Popples resemble brightly colored teddy bears with long tails tipped with pompoms. They have pouches on their backs that can be everted, so they are in the pouches. The name “Popple” is a reference to the popping sound they make when unfolding themselves from such a ball.
I still have one of these in my stuffed animal collection in the garage too, plus a lunchbox I carried as a purse for awhile
