Ben Kingsley is one of the most brilliant actors today, and he won the Best Actor Oscar in 1982 for his portrayal of the peaceful warrior Gandhi. Gandhi’s nonviolent resistance movement was the inspiration for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Civil Rights Movement. Whenever someone participates in a peaceful demonstration or sit-in or starvation protest, they are taking after Gandhi.
