Roxanne is Steve Martin’s re-telling of the French play, Cyrano de Bergerac. Steve is the smart man with the huge nose who helps the dumb firefighter woo Roxanne, played by Daryl Hannah, in spite of being in love with her himself. Martin wrote three movies about love; the other two were L.A. Story and A Simple Twist of Fate.
